Today I machine countersunk the main spar to accomodate the #1 Z bracket nuplates. I tried unsuccessfully to rivet the nut plates to the spar. I could not get a good enough grip on the bucking bar in the type area between the ribs. I ordered some blind rivets to accomplish this and will install in a few days. I elected to purchase CCR264CS3-4 rivets from D and D aircraft supply.
I began to asseble the left tank for its initial fitting to the main spar.
