Brief Description: Mounting Left wing to check fit
Today I mounted the cleco'd left tank to the leading edge and I discovered a problem. The tank and leading edge seam was tight however the W423 joint plate was not manufactured with the correct amount protruding from the edge of the leading edge rib. I noticed the the W423 edge was visible in the holes along the W701 tank skin. I re-did the W432 to insure that there was 11/16 of the W423 to insure plenty of edge distance once mounted the the 701 skin. The outboard 410 rib is 3/4" in from the edge of the 701 skin edge. Once I re-drilled the W423 to the outboard wing skins it married up correctly and there was no gap in the seam.
