Glad I read the vansairforce.net entries on this topic as the plans don't make it clear that the neutral position control arm must be centered over the elevator pushrod in order for the spring tension to be balance side to side. Used z-bend-attached model airplane 4-40 steel clevis to make the spring attachment.
