Drilled the axle for the locking cotter pin. Surprisingly difficult as you have to maintain alignment when drilling from both sides. Forum advice was to grind a flat in the axle so that the threads wouldn't coerce the 1/8" drill center. Used a needle file to dress the damaged threads afterwards so as not to chew the soft ones in the mating nut. Still took an hour apiece to finally get the pin all the way thru.
