Brief Description: Bonded and Bolted Landing Gear Attach
Mixed up some wet flox and put it in a ziplock "icing bag". I coated the bracket surfaces and then placed them in position. I then installed the bolts. I then coated the nut plate plates with the wet flox and assembled. I started out thinking I would torque the bolts to 35 in lbs (half standard torque for AN4 bolts) but monitoring the "squeeze" on the wood longerons. For narrower lower longerons that seemed to much. I settled on 25 in lbs in teh end. After torquing I cleaned up the flox squeeze out. I then went back and checked torque a couple of times to make sure that the torque had settled from the squeeze out process.
