Brief Description:  LH Fuselage Aft Foam - Landing Gear Area

Two hour session split into two entries for more pictures! I started out by leveling up the LWY and LWX and the aft section ofthe lower longeron using a sanding block with one side taped over to guide on the block on the structure to remove material on only the intended surface. The first picture shows the area after sanding flat. I then made a patern for the foam piece using plastic sheet pushed into teh depresion and tracing with a marker. I transferred to the foam and cut it with the band saw. I then tuned it up with sanding blocks to get the right fit. I wanted a little gap for the micro to get between the foam edge and the wood pieces. I then put a 3/16' radius around the bottom edge of the foam to make room for a flox radius that I put in bewteen the wood and the fuselage side in the area where the foam installs. Prepped the foam for installation and put it in and weighed it down with dumb bells. The third photo shows the blue tape guide on the lower longeron. I put a small radius of micro here to ease layups that will be made when installing the fuselage bottom.
