evolution from custom fabricated toward standardized. have to custom cut the openings for the exhaust because the engines are slightly different. Now most fittings are cut or drilled from templates. Improvements in ducting have decreased weight from 60+ to about 25 lbs.
cut openings for naco scoop gouge out foam core about 1/16", fill with bondo for smooth flush finish. glue scoop to cowling. drill out spring clip holes front two are screw fittings for greater strength.
