Brief Description: Match drill HS-411PP/VA-146 bearing
One of the HS-411 center hinge brackets were not match drilled to the VA-146 bearing. I assembled the hinge brackets on the rear spar and positioned the VA-146 with clamps and a #30 punch to line up the holes. I made sure the alignment was correct and used a 1/8" drill bit to drill the non prepunced HS-411 and then would ream it out to #30. The 1/8" drill bit was crappy and did not drill through the steel bracket. I switched to a #30 Avery bit with a drill stop attached, and it worked great. Everything got drilled and was in good alignment. I deburred all the holes.
I then primed the VA-146 covering the bearing with tape to avid painting the internal part of the bearing.
I let it dry and started working on the forward spar assembly.
