Brief Description: Smoothed surface of HS-609PP and match drilled
The edges of HS-609PP appeared to be finished by Van's, but the suface of the parts appeared to still have tooling marks from some sort of vice that Van's used to shape the bars. I sanded the surfaces down until the marks could not be felt anymore, there was two lines on the bars, but I couldn't get them out. I eventually wet sanded it down to 400 grit. It was a pain, but gave the bars a nice shine.
I cleco'd the bars to the rear spar and match drilled. I have ordered a #30 reamer bit but it is not here yet. I just used a standard #30 Avery drill bit.
