Brief Description: Installed Heat Tape in Lower Cowl
I installed a contact heat foil to the inside of the lower cowl. I had heard that heat damage can occur in this area of the cowling and possibly blister or discolor the paint, and that an application of heat tape can reduce this possibility. I had already sealed the cowling interior with epoxy and now applied the heat tape. I placed it on by hand then used a small wallpaper roller to get it smooth. I then used epoxy to seal the edges of the tape tp prevent peeling. It came out looking nice.
