I continued with the lower cowl fit and got it fairly close to the final fit. I then prepared the top aft attach hinge. Where the hinge curves around the fuselage-firewall point, it is necessary to bevel the edges of the hinge eyes so that the two hinge halves can join from the side. I did this with a file and cleaned up the edges with a scotch brite wheel. I am allowing about 1/16th inch spacing for paint at the cowl connect points, and when this was set I drilled the upper cowl to the aft top hinge.
