It was about 35 degrees in the hangar and I wanted to drain the engine preservative oil so I placed some shop lamps below the sump to warm up the oil while I finished a few other items.
I removed the oil drain plugs and removed the lower spark plug plastic caps and allowed the oil to drain into a bucket. There was less oil than I expected.
I installed a quick drain fitting in place of the left side oil drain plug, then safetied in place.
