After connecting the pitot tube I wanted to test the entire pitot run. I did a simple but effective test by first attaching plastic tubing to the pitot tube at the wing. I then gently blew into the tube until I read about 160 kts on the airspeed indicator then capped off the tube to hold the air pressure. I then watched the airspeed to see if it bled off. After several minutes there was only a 2 knot loss of speed. This showed that my pitot tubeing run is very tight and should present no problems passing a pitot static system test.
