The throttle cable runs very close to the exhaust and needs to be protected from the heat. I cut sections of firesleeve and coated the exposed fabric with high temperature RTV and allowed to dry. Then I wrapped this firesleeve around the throttle cable in the area of the exhaust and secured the ends with cable clamps, and used a wrap of safety wire to secure the firesleeve along the cable. The cable is now protected by firesleeve and a heat shield at the exhaust.
