Brief Description:  OAT sensor and wiring run

The ACS engine monitor includes an outside air temperature input and requires a probe to be installed somewhere where it can read accurately. The recommended location is on the underside of a wing. I decided to install it on the lower left wing, just forward of the second access hole. I drilled and secured the probe, then ran the wire through a small hole in the wiring conduit that is used for other wing system electrical. The provided wire is not long enough to make a continous run from the wing to the instrument panel, and therefore would require a connector. Since I was committed to this connector, I located it at the wing root where I can finish the installation and will only have to secure the connections after wing mating.

I installed the connectors and completed the wiring run through the cockpit up to the rear of the instrument panel where the ACS control box is located.
