I had earlier decided to beef up the forward attach points of the empennage fairing, as the area around these screw holes was cracking from repeated use. I added some length to the fairing and added several layers of glass cloth to both sides of this area. I installed the fairing over plastic tape and allowed to dry. The final fit looks very good and the area is now very strong. I'll do the final filling and sanding of this area when I finish up the wheel pants and fairings.
