Brief Description: Instrument Panel Flange and Hangar Cleanup
Today I spent some time cleaning up the hangar and putting away tools used in the past days. I removed the plastic plugs from the engine and dried out the moisture absorbing crystals, then reinstalled them. I have been doing this more often now that the rainy (relatively) season is here.
I also installed the flanges around the upper edge of the instrument panel. This flange will be riveted to the final top skin, and has nut plates where the top of the instrument panel is attached. I had earlier installed nutplates and drilled for rivets on these flanges, then removed them while I was doing a lot of panel work.
I also am keeping the engine, instrument panel and canopy covered to reduce the moisture and dust in those areas.
