Yesterday I picked up an Odyssey PC-680 battery. This battery is very popular among RV builders as it's small size and high cranking power work very well in the airplane.
I had previously made a cardboard mockup of the battery to insure that it would fit into the battery box and also be able to make it past the rest of the engine compartment structure and hoses during installation. The battery went in fine with no conflicts at all.
I then connected the wiring to the terminals and added a rubber boot to the positive terminal.
