I used proseal to seal all seams in the firewall. I also used sealant to seal all firewall pass throughs. All the firewall fittings are stainless steel, and all wiring is protected with firesleeve which is treated with high temp sealant. I am confident that the firewall is well sealed against fumes and smoke from the engine compartment.
