Brief Description:  Heat Risers and Air Intake

I decided to add heat risers to the forward baffels in front of the forward cylinders. These two forward cylinders are known to run cooler to the rear cylinders and most builders end up adding these heat risers to even out the temperature differentials. It is much easier to add these now, then trim as necessary during flight testing. I manfactured these and drilled, dimpled and riveted them in place on the forward baffels.

The final fit of the intake duct was adjusted. I needed to move the mounting angle slightly aft to have the duct attachment screws placed exactly below the holes in the forward baffel floor. Since these angles were only held in place temporarily by clecos, it was an easy change to make.
