I began by connecting vacuum lines to the vacuum guage. I then decided to relocate the encoder to a position just below the mid instrument sub panel and turn it horizontal. This still allows easy access to the encoder as well as opening up access for the vacuum hoses from the instruments to the regulator and filter.
