Brief Description:  Fuel System #1

FRUSTRATING SESSION!!! Lots of confusion and wrong moves! 1.1 hours and I successfully got one fitting installed... Anyway... to the details!

Started off trying to figure out how to attach the T-fitting to the Andair Fuel Selector. I noticed that my selector has all male fittings, so I set out trying to figure out how to attache male fittings to male fittings (as the T-fitting supplied in the kit has all male connectors). First thing I did was check Aircraft Spruce to see if a Female/Male/Male T-fitting exists and I could not find one, so I set out fabricating a SHORT piece of aluminum tubing with two coupling nuts . Got everything fabbed up and looking good, only to realize it would be too long, and there wouldn't be room between the floor and bottom of the T-fitting to adequately bend the line running to the filter... SO.. I went back to my purchase records from when I "designed" the fuel system and bought everthing. Turns out, Van's sells the fitting I was looking for at Spruce, and I indded realized this when I planned out the fuel system and had purchased one. I checked the box I have been storing the fuel system parts in, and sure enough... there it was! FRUSTRATING!!!!

NOTE: Work has been soaking up 150% of my time the past few months and not much time was spent on the project. It was PRIOR to this work vendetta that I had ordered all the fuel system items... Scary that you can be so forgetful, but I guess thats the way things work!
