Brief Description:  Rotax 503 DCDI Break-in Procedure

Trailered the plane to Glendale Airport and did the recommended Rotax Breeak-in procedure. It went well this time. Things I noted and will watch or make adjustments for are:

1) Feel a vibration when reducing the RPM through about 4200 RPM.

2) Rough Idle (2000 RPM)

3) Front CHT reads about 75 degrees F lower than the rear CHT consistently.

All temperatures stayed in range and about where expected for the duration of the break-in.

Other Notes:

1) Throttle creeps back very slowly - will tighten the friction bolts.

2) Need to replace all AL rivets used on the fuel tank box hold-downs with SS and add rivets to the adjacent sides of the angles.

3) Lots of engine ignition type noise when transmitting. Mike determined that it is the PTT switches. Standare PTT is quiet. I can dectect a low level hiss with the PTTs in the sticks and not with the standard. This will not be an easy of fun fix. Bummer.

Took the plane to my DVT hangar.
