Brief Description:  Rear Spar Riveted and Hinge Bolted On

I finished riveting the rear spar doubler to the rear spar. That was pretty easy. So was riveting the four hinge brackets to the rear spar. That pneumatic squeezer sure was worth the money. Now for the problem... I am an idiot. That is the problem in a nutshell. I was supposed to bolt on the central hinge bracket to the rear spar with AN-3 bolts. I even read the appropriate torque values and guess what? 20-25 foot/pounds is not the same as 20-25 inch/pounds. Actually foot/pounds are twelve times stronger/tighter than inch/pounds. Another thing, AN-3 bolt threads strip out at something less than 20-25 foot/pounds. So after returning the torque wrench to Sears and getting one in inch/pounds and spending about an hour with the dremel to cut off the nuts, I eventually got it set correctly to exactly 25 inch/pounds. I guess it was a learning point. Notice in image 2 that I alternated the shop-head side of the rivets that hold the bracket together. Nothing was mentioned in the plans, but I thought it looked more even. Who knows if I am right.
