Brief Description:  Continued on the Trim-Tabs

I had planned to be able to glue in the trim tab ribs today, but everything took longer than expected. First I bent the ends on the second trim tab. The bends today are better, but I made a small cosmetic defect where the wooden wedges pressed too hard onto the skin. It is a small dent that I hope will be minimized with paint. Next, I had to remove the double-sided tape the plans recommend to hold in the wooden wedge when bending the ends over. Nothing seemed to work. I knew MEK would, so I went to a store to get some, but of course they didn't have it. I ended up getting some adhesive/wax remvover from an auto parts store because it was close. After that, I match drilled holes in the ends that I bent over and then match drilled the skins to the spar. I got stumped bending the bottom skins up 15 degrees as called for in the plans. It took me about an hour figuring out how I was going to do it. In the end, I taped an aluminum yard stick to the bend line and then used hand seemers to bend it over working back and forth until the desired angle was achieved. Nothing worth taking pictures of.
