Brief Description:  Continued on the Trim Tabs. Ready to Glue

I had high ambitions of getting a lot done today, but alas, I was not so lucky. I started off by deburring the skins, spars, and horns. Actually, before that I had to remove the protective film on the skins, and that took longer than expected. After the deburring, I dimpled the skins and the bottom holes on the spar as per the plans. Next I countersunk the holes in the top of the spar. I went ahead and invested time to build a decent little jig to align and hold the spar while I countersunk with the micro-stop countersinking bit in the drill press. It worked really well and was worth the time building it for only the quality and consistent countersinks I was able to get. After a break to the store. I riveted the bottom skin to the bottom of the spar using the pneumatic squeezer and Ellen's help. The horns that go on the outside were a pain in the ass and I had to drill out several rivets more than once to get decent results. When I fabricated the horns, I took special care to ensure they were even and matched, and today while riveting them on, I screwed up and they got about a 1/32' misaligned. I know it is acceptable, but I want better. I can still manipulate them to a better appearance and I will do that tomorrow.
