Brief Description:  1.- Bending the Leading Edge Skin

Following directions from my good fellow builder Dave, I started by taping a 2" pvc pipe to the center of the leading edge skin. I drilled 1/4 " holes on the pipe and set these facing up. Then I cut the skin oversized so that once in place I can trim to the correct dimensions. I bought two rolls of the heaviest plastic I could find at Home Depot (3 mil 12' x 9') and a roll of duct tape. Since I decided to bend the full length of the leading edge (12') I had to cut the second roll of plastic in half and tape it such that I would have at least 1 - 2 feet of plastic beyond the edge the skin lengthwise. With the help of my son, we slowly started bringing the opposite ends together (like a taco... or should I say .. a "quesadilla"). This process consisted of slowly taping the edges closer and closer until they touched, making sure that the two halves were perfectly aligned. I have to say that our first attemp did not result in perfect aligment so we had to repeat the hole process.
