Brief Description:  2.- Installing the Bungee Cord

Well... this was certainly one for the books! My 16 yr old son (Alex) came by to look at my progress. While I was explaining to him how we needed to fabricate a tool to install the bungee cord, in a matter of a few seconds, he took a wrench from the work bench and used the handle as a "lever" (as demonstrated in the picture below) to install the front loop of the bungee cord over the holding pin. As I only had a few seconds for my brain to register all this... and... as my jaw was dropping to the ground.... it was done, the bungee cord slipped into place like butter.

Now there are a couple a factors that enabled this installation without damaging the bungee cord. One... the gear leg was powder coated along with the fact that the front tube/pin edges were rounded before powder coating... Two.. . the diameter of the wrench handle fit perfectly inside the tube/pin. So not to say the least ... I gave my son a high five ... and then proceeded to dig a hole on the ground to put my head in...
