Brief Description: Finally got the riveting right!
Thanks to my friend and fellow builder Bill Bartlet, we decided to get our heads together and do some riveting. Bill turned out to be at the same stage as I am, although he is building a different aircraft. After trying out different techniques, the one that proved to be the easiest was the C frame along with a "polished" roofing hammer. What do you know! Once again thank you Bill. With this I was able to finish the rear center spar web/cap riveting. I then spent the rest of the afternoon preparing the front web and spar caps for polishing and priming. I used masking tape to hold the rivets in place. It turned that the masking tape fulfilled its role plus it also potected the round heads from any scratches during the riveting process.
