Brief Description:  Rudder and Trim Tab Work

Disassembled Rudder trailing edge glue up. Nice straight trailing edge! Tried using special hand riveting tool (ground to correct angle). Didn't complete rivet machine side very smoothly. Went to back riveting using air gun. Nice finish, but current rivet tool head is 'swivel' style. Plan to get a fixed rivet head tool to complete riveting. Left portion of trailing edge clecoed to help cure in a straight line. Made pipe tools for bending the forward edge of the rudder. Bent forward edges and riveted together. Spent considerable time working the forward edges to get a smooth bend along the entire rudder. Completed drilling of elevator counterbalance arms. Ready to disassemble. Match drilled reinforcement plates to Elevator spars. Drilled trim tab hinge to match trim tab spar. Cut trim tab hinge to proper length. Clecoed trim tab together and final drilled spar.
