Even though the weather was overcast we decided to start the engine. First start came after about 15 seconds of cranking. Sounds great! We adjusted the idle, checked the mags, and got a static run up of about 2200-2300 rpm. Engine gauges worked properly. Checked for oil leaks and moved plane back into hangar as it started to rain pretty steadily. Looks like we need another vacuum pump cover and gasket. We'll check this with another short run-up, then button up for the first flight - whenever weather will permit that!
