Brief Description:  Cowl Support and Inlet

Temporarily mounted Air Box. Then shaped foam to fit cowl inlet and temp glued in place. Cut out starter hole in foam. Mounted bottom cowl and carved out center hole to match air box inlet. Then removed bottom cowl and laid up a layer of fiberglass to match inside of foam. After this dries, we will chip out the foam support and reinforce the fiberglass from the inside, then cut the length to match the air box inlet. Also worked on rear cowl support. Bent support piece and drilled the mounting holes to match the frame. Fit the rear supports to match the cowl, then marked and drilled all parts as required. Took assembly apart, deburred and buffed parts, then primed all parts. Clecoed back together, countersunk holes and mounted to check fit with the cowl in place. After satisfied with fit, took assembly off the plane and riveted parts together. Marked assembly for cowl pin holes; ready for drilling.
