Cut top cowl for oil access door. Fit door to recess. Cut hinges and hinge pin for oil access door.Began fitting of lower cowl. Initially fit was very poor, but gradual working with the lower cowl brought cowl into position ready for trimming. Lots of cutting, trying, and retrying! Drilled and clecoed one of the three forward attach holes to help position the cowl. Marked and cut lower cowl at bottom and on sides. Sanded these edges for a close fit on all sides. Installed lower cowl to test positioning of cowl and fit. Still need to do some final fitting, but position of cowl and mating of cowl halves looks accepatable.
