Back to work after a short winter vacation. Fitted main wheel fairings together and worked on final fit. Marked and drilled for fasteners. Cut out parts for gear legs and did inital trimming around tires. Fit a 1 inch spacer to each tire for proper clearance. Built a support for rear of fairing to attain proper height and marked parallel lines on floor for alignment. Installed a shim in brake disc for support while drilling. Drilled holes in fairing for both inboard and outboard supports. Roughed out inside of fairings and applied two layers of fiberglass cloth to support attachment screws. Countersunk fairings and riveted outer support to fairings. Then installed platenuts on inside support and sintalled wheel fairings. With final fit, reworked tire clearance around both tires.Setup homemade alignment jig for gearleg fairings and adjusted both fairings at the top for proper location and then checked bottom of fairings for alignment. Now need to trim and install gear leg to wheel intersection fairings.
