Marked canopy latch bearing blocks and drilled out bearing blocks then mounted canopy latch. Painted parts for canopy side handle. Assembled side handle parts and tested movement. Then riveted handle to side frame. Riveted mounting bracket for rear canopy connection. Painted connection parts and assembed connection parts. Then manufactured connecting rod and assembled completed side handle components. Tested opening and closing of canopy latch - tight, but workable. Put lock-tite on connecting rod ends and tightened jam nut.Final drilled canopy hinge brackets. Removed canopy and drilled out rotation holes for bearings. Installed bearings and reinstalled canopy to test fit, movement, and pin fit. All OK. Began assembly of canopy release mechanism. Drilled holes and slots for release links attachment to the canopy release shaft. Then cut canopy release links to correct length and cut slots for the release pins. Test assembled the release mechanism and fit into place and tested operation. OK!
