Early on we realized that the upholstery would have to be done by someone other than us, and from our internet searching found Abby at Flightline Interiors (http://my.execpc.com/~erdmannb/). After corresponding with her, we chose her to do our upholstery and have been delighted with her final product (seen in the pictures). We just had to put it in temporarily so we could sit in the plane and make airplane noises!). We heartily recommend Abby to anyone interested in Van's aircraft interiors.Another consideration was painting of the interior. After much deliberation, we have settled on leaving out the painting of the interior. We liked the 'brushed' look of the primer wash applied by the Quickbuilders and decided to leave that as it is. For the other components that have not been primed, we are planning to spray paint with a color similar to the powder coated parts supplied by Van's. You can see this color on the seat back which has been painted with this color.
