Got a few hours this afternoon so I figured to clean up some loose ends and prepare for final riveting of the wings. First off was to complete the pitot tube mounting bracket installation. I had already drilled and primed the bracket, but I needed to rivet the piece I had fabricated to the rib which I did with three An470-4-4 rivets. Then I cleco'd the bracket in place (photo #1) and then riveted it with two flush rivets just to hold it in place until the bottom skin is riveted on. After I did that I cleco'd the bottom skin in place to test the fit. Photo #2 shows the skin cleco'd to the mounting bracket and the pitot tube extension in place and ready for the pitot tube itself, which I have not yet even ordered since it is the heated variety it is a bit pricey.
