Today I installed the fuel vent line, the flop tube, the fuel level system and the outboard most rib. However, before I did any of that I noticed when I was fitting the flop tube that I had installed the metal strip on the tank access hole from leading edge to trailing edge rather than from top to bottom. Since the strip is there to prevent the flop tube from getting stuck in the rivets and screws for the access plate, I figured I better install it the correct way, so I drilled out the old one and built and installed a new one (photo #1 shows the before and photo #2 shows the after). Photo #3 shows the fuel elbow connector safety wired to the flop tube prior to installation in the tank. Next entry shows more photos of today's work.
