Brief Description: Right Fuel Tank Prep/Tank Attachment Angles
Finished up the Right Tank Prep today in so far as drilling the skin to rib and baffle holes to final size, countersinking the holes for the skin to baffle attachment and final drilling to #19 the tank attachment screw holes. Then I dissassembled the right tank and moved on to fabricating the tank attachment angle. This piece attaches to the exterior of the inboard tank rib and is used to attach the leading edge of the tank to the fuselage. The drawings are in photo #1 and the heavy angle provided is shown in photo 2. Photo # shows after the initial cut to the two pieces. Fortunately, there was enough for three as you will see in the next entry.
