When I did the left elevator, I don't think I quite got the top edge rolled enough - as a result I pulled it into place and it pulls away slightly between rivets as can be seen in photos #1 and #2 below. When I did the right elevator I made more of an effort to get the roll on top and bottom all the way around where I did not have to pull the edges so much into place. As a result, the right leading edge came out much cleaner and smoother as seen in photo #3. I didn't mention before but I also used a tool to put a slight bend in the top edge so it would lay smoother when riveted together. I did this on both and it worked well. Now the question is - should I "redo" the left elevator? How hard will it be to drill out the blind rivets and then reroll the edge and re-rivet. May check this out tomorrow.
