Brief Description:  Rivet Left Elevator and Trim Tab Bend

Today I riveted the skin onto the skeleton for the left elevator. Everything went well and it did not take very long. All rivets are in less those that will hold the trim tab hinge - identified in the pictures by the area still with clecos in view. After I finished the riveting I tackled the bends on the trim tab itself. I don't know why Van's doesn't just make a couple ribs for the ends of the trim tab instead of the difficulty involved with bending the metal in the right place without causing stress cracks to form. Must be a reason and I just don't know what it is. Next entry will include a few more pictures of the trim tab bend.
