Today I back tracked a little. During the construction of the cover plate and mount for the trim tab I somehow managed to get the mounting brackets too close together and the trim servo would not sit down in between the mounts as seen in picture #1. My old countersink did not work very well (as well as operator mistakes) but I screwed up the left elevator trim tab spar resulting in several oversized holes (pic 2). So I ordered new parts which had arrived when I started working today so I redid the servo mount and cover plate (redrilled, dimpled, and primed) and using a new countersink I drilled new holes in a new left elevator trim tab spar resulting in much nicer holes and countersinks as seen in photo #3. All parts were then prepped and primed and are now ready for assembly. Next I start on the dreaded left elevator assembly and then the trim tab.
