Next step in elevator construction is to rivet the tip rib to the spar as shown in picture 1 (shows cleco'd in place and after rivets are set). Note that flush rivets are used here. Then the outboard ribs get riveted to the spar as shown in picture two (the near ribs were the first two riveted together and is the outboard portion of the elevator). In picture three the elevator control horn is riveted in place on the inboard side of the skeleton (this is why flush rivets were used here.
