Brief Description: Finished HS Skin Prep and Front Spar Assembly
Back at it after six days at work. First I removed the blue protective film from the inside of both skins completely and used a soldering iron to trim the protective film around the rivet holes on the outside of each skin. I then finished the skins by deburring every hole on both sides (lot of holes), then dimpling the outside of both. Then I proceeded to assembling the front spar by riveting both of the reinforcing angles on as you can see in the pictures below. Doesn't seem like a lot was accomplished but prepping those skins took time. I also think I might have screwed up and put in too many rivets on the front spar - think I was supposed to leave a couple of them on either side empty until riveting on the ribs. I'll figure it out tomorrow.
