Brief Description: Info on Paint Booth and Priming
A few days ago I commented that I spent the day expanding my paint booth. Picture 1 shows the results which I put to test today. Results were much better - most of the overspray was contained but it still leaked some. Think I will reconfigure to vent thru the filter out the window and may look at a new paint gun - a HVLP (high volume low pressure) which is supposed to minimize overspray. Picture 2 shows my method of prepping the two part AKZO primer - I use paper cups to dip and mix the two components then leave standing for 30 minutes then add to my paint gun and off we go. Really not that messy at all - now the fumes are another story - my respirator just isn't cutting it so think before I prime anything else I will replace it with something a little better.
