Brief Description: Deburred and corrision proofed, rivet entire botto
Dissassemblied entire fuselage bottom deburred longerons and L and Z pieces and bottom panel. Sprayed corrision proofing on all joining overlapping parts. Let Dry continued in afternoon and riveted the entire bottom less the access panel. Fitted access panel, check for overlap. Predrilled holes on panel are too far out and will make it impossible to install rivet nuts on z brackets on sides. The end opposite the hinge will work the predrilled holes line up with the rivet line. The side predrilled holes on panel are about 4 mm out to far from rivet line which will not allow enough room to install rivet nuts on Z brackets. I will have to drill new holes on access cover in from the factory predrilled holes. The Z brackets are flush with the sides of precut access hole according to plans.The cover that came with kit is a newer design it not flat but has bent creases to make it more rigid. My plans show a flat panel with a different hole pattern around cover. It should not be a problem to drill access cover new holes in 4mm on the sides. The predrilled factory holes on the sides of cover will hardly be noticable. I will install thin weather stripping around the access cover hole. The weather stripping will seal the unused predrill holes when cover is closed.
