I checked the sealant blob from Monday and it looks like it's fully cured now. Moving the ailerons into the house was a good move to speed the curing along.
There was some excess sealant that and extruded into a few of the holes and it was preventing some of the rivets to seat in the dimples properly, so I went through every hole to clear it out. After that I didn't have any further seating issues.
The initial set was done on the back riveting plate. I checked the straightness as I progressed using the method outlined in Section 5 of the plans. The TE was nice and straight.
Using the Cleaveland Tool wedge squeezing set I made the final set and was pretty happy with the results.
I also did a final check of the twist on the table inside the house and found that the LH aileron had about a 1/16 in. gap at the far end. The RH aileron almost perfect. Just a tiny, tine little bit of rocking on the flat table, much less than the LH aileron.
Section 22 complete!
Rivets loaded into TE and ready for riveting
Initial rivet set with the back riveting plate. I'm using my new "stealth" hose for air pressure.
