Brief Description:  C/S TE & Rivet Bottom Skin on the RH Aileron

Now that I had my new TE I could continue on the RH aileron. Clecoed everything up and drilled the TE with the correct angle this time. The TE was countersinked with 0.002 in. under flush. I tested this on a piece of scrap and this seemed to give the best fit with everything together. Deeper than that and it didn't look any diffferent. At 0.002 in. under flush the TE hole didn't seem to enlarge any, but with 0.007 in. under flush it was noticably larger.

I finished deburring the TE holes on the bottom skin and dimpled them. You can see in the 2nd photo below how much this mis-drill oblonged the holes. This was the worst one and some holes seemed to have no out of roundness at all. I did run this by Vans builder support and they said build on.

Checked the twist and found none at all with the digital level or the flat table check. I riveted the bottom skin on without any problems.
