Brief Description: Assembly, match drilling and C/S TE
The entire rudder is assembled and cleko'ed together. Match drilled several holes and disassembled everything. I did a final deburr of everything including the skins. I finished the LH skin and partially completed the RH.
The TE wedge was countersinked, but I spent some time trying to figure out if I should C/S it flush or 0.007 in. deeper as recommended in the plans. The skin here is 0.016 in. thick, so 0.007 in. deeper probably isn't warrented. I called Van's tech support and didn't get a direct answer, but they recommended I make some test coupons with 0.016 in. skin and the discarded portion of the TE. The best fit I got was the flush C/S.
