Brief Description:  Rivet ribs to aft spar and skins

The plans call for creating a couple of sub-assemblies. First rivet the E-1008B ribs to the rear spar. I made sure to verify the orientation by putting together the front spar, skin and rear spar to confirm it. Both the LH and RH rear spar sub-assemblies were riveted without a problem.

Then you're supposed to rivet the E-1008A ribs to the lower skin. I back riveted the ribs and moved on to the trim tab reinforcement doubler. I back riveted all the rivets except the ones holding the nut plates on the aft side of the cutout, then I realized that I riveted two holes before I put the reinforcement doubler brace on. So I had to drill out two C/S rivets, but they came out relatively easily and I didn't damage the bearing surface of the hole at all. Finished riveting the rest together without problem.

One minor issue is the where you rivet the final two nutplates C/T the reinforcement brace, the plans call out an AD3-3.5. That seemed too short, so I used a AD3-4 and the results were very good.

I only did the LH lower skin. Tomorrow I'll work on the RHS.
